FreedomCar is committed to meeting your medical transportation needs. We provide service to any medical facility you wish, and offer a safe, easy ride. When making your appointment, please make our representative aware of any medical conditions. If you are unable to negotiate a step, for instance, we can assign an appropriate vehicle.
Our commitment to you and your family includes:
- Our vehicles are new (less than three years of age), safe and clean.
- All drivers are full employees of FreedomCar, never subcontracted.
- No tipping or in-car payments. We provide full documentation of all expenses and provide a variety of payment options. For details visit Payment Information.
- Emailed confirmations of all reservations.
- 24-hour immediate accessibility to our staff if there is an emergency or change in plans.
We suggest you call a day or so in advance for smaller local service needs of this type, to ensure that the car is available at the exact time you need it. Our rates are hourly, in increments of 5 minutes, with a minimum time commitment of 45 minutes.
When you’re arranging for a return service, we have a few different options for you to consider. You can choose to have the car remain with you, which we recommend if your appointment lasts less than one hour. You can also arrange a pre-determined return time, where the car comes back for you at that time. This is ideal if your appointments are longer than an hour or two. Lastly, you can call for us if you truly have no idea how long your appointment will last. We don’t advise this, because we are appointment based and can’t guarantee timely availability with "will call" returns.
Please be advised that although FreedomCar transports non-ambulatory passengers, we do not have wheelchair lifts in our vehicles. All non-ambulatory passengers must be transferable from wheelchair to car with minimal assistance from the driver. Cars are generally chosen for those in need of local medical transportation.
